Sweet sweet money.

Can you ever get enough money? I guess i know the answer to that question,  and it's not "yes".

When marketing on your site, you got plenty of options, these are the two most used.
Affiliate marketing.
Advertisement hosting.

Affiliate marketing is a way of selling other peoples products, you get paid when they sell items.
All you do is to simply link to their site with a special link that says it's from you, then you get paid if they but anything.
The most popular affiliate marketing site at the moment is ClickBank, which is totally free and has handed out a total of $1'469'150'465 to it's users in pure cash and is constantly increasing! (2010-02-07)
Tutorials for Clickbank will be available later on this site.

The other way is Though Advertisement hosting services, such as Google Adsense.
This will give you a HTML text to put at your site, generating ads from everyone using Google Adwords.
You will get about $0.1-$2.0 for each click on those ads depending on who you got them from.

This is how often people click on ads on your site depending on where they are placed:

Also called the google heat map.

As you can clearly see, almost no one clicks the ads that are to the right, cause they have become so "Ad-blind" from all the sites that has ads placed on the right side, that they simply do not care anymore.

Having your ad in the content, at the top, to the right or at the bottom is proves to be the best because:
Having it at the top means people will see it first when they enter the site.

To the left is good cause it's unexpected.

In the content is perfect cause adsense will show then calculate what your site is about and show ads that are similar to the sites subject. Also because you see them when you read on the site.

At the bottom, because when you are done reading on the site, you either close it, go to another link or look at the ad below the last thing you read.

Note, do not put the ads so far up or below that people almost don't see them.
At the same time they shouldn't be in the way, they should be noticed.
